Delete Your Account

Last updated: March 2026

You can delete your FOS Terminal account and all associated data at any time. This page explains what gets deleted, what stays, and how to do it.

How to delete your account

From the app (recommended)

  1. Open FOS Terminal
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm in the dialog

The process is immediate. Once confirmed, your account and cloud data are permanently deleted.

By email

If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from the Google account email address associated with your FOS Terminal account. We will process your request within 3 business days.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Firebase Authentication account — your sign-in identity is removed
  • Cloud sync data — host configurations, themes, snippets, and workspaces stored in Firebase Firestore
  • Trial metadata — trial start date and duration record

What is NOT deleted

  • Local data on your device — SSH hosts, keys, themes, snippets, and session logs stored on your device are not affected. Uninstall the app to remove them.
  • Google Play subscriptions — deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. You must cancel it separately in Google Play → Subscriptions.
  • Fraud prevention records — anonymised tombstone records (hashed device ID, email) are retained to prevent trial abuse. These contain no personal information beyond your email address.

After deletion

Once your account is deleted:

  • You will be signed out of the app immediately
  • Cloud sync will stop working
  • You can continue using the app with free features
  • If you sign in again with the same Google account, you will start fresh — no trial will be available

Data retention timeline

  • Account & sync data: deleted immediately upon request
  • Crash reports (if enabled): retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days, then automatically purged
  • Analytics data (if opted in): retained by Firebase Analytics for up to 14 months, then automatically purged
