Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FOS Terminal and the fosfiles.com website (the "Services"), provided by FOSFiles ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. The app

FOS Terminal is an SSH client for Android. You can download it free from Google Play. A Pro subscription unlocks additional features as described on our pricing page.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use FOS Terminal to:

• Access computers, servers, or networks without authorisation
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Interfere with or disrupt third-party services
• Distribute malware or other harmful code

FOS Terminal is a client tool. You are responsible for the connections you make and the servers you access.

3. Pro subscriptions and payments

Pro features are available via monthly subscription (€6.99/month), annual subscription (€19.99/year), or a one-time Lifetime purchase (€29.99 during early access).

All transactions are processed by Google Play. By making a purchase, you agree to Google Play's terms. We receive a purchase token from Google — not your payment details.

Subscriptions: Billed in advance. Cancel at any time through Google Play. You retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.

Lifetime: One-time purchase. Tied to your Google account. Transfers to new devices signed in with the same account. Includes all future Pro features.

Refunds: Google Play's standard refund policy applies (within 48 hours of purchase). For exceptions, email [email protected].

4. Free trial

We offer a 7-day free trial of Pro features. No credit card is required to start the trial. The trial is available once per Google account. At the end of the trial, Pro features are locked unless you subscribe.

5. Your data

Your SSH keys, session logs, and host configurations are stored on your device. We don't access, read, or transmit your SSH data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Cloud sync (Pro, opt-in) stores host configurations (not keys) in Firebase Firestore. You can delete this data at any time.

6. Intellectual property

FOS Terminal and all associated code, design, and content are owned by FOSFiles. You're granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal or professional use. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the app.

FOS Terminal uses open-source libraries. Their licences are listed in Settings → About → Licences.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

FOS Terminal is provided "as is." We make no warranty that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. SSH involves connecting to third-party servers — we are not responsible for the availability, security, or content of those servers.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FOSFiles is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorised access to servers, or service interruptions.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app changelog. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Croatia.
